When it comes to skincare, bath and body, there is only one company that has stolen my heart. Look, Lush may be the queen of bath bombs and Glossier the princess of brows, but if you are looking for an all-round icon, there’s only one. Of course I’m talking about The Body Shop.
If you’ve been following me for a while, this will come to no surprise. I swear by their Factor 50 Lotion for my daily SPF, and the Chamomile Cleansing Butter is a cult classic, and rightfully so. As well as using recyclable packaging and sustainable ingredient sourcing, The Body Shop will be 100% vegan by 2023 whilst continuing to support local and global charities. I’m treating my skin and the planet the way they deserve to be treated, babyyyy. So when my local TBS shop invited me to their mental health and wellbeing open event to check out their new Wellness range, I was there quicker than you could say “shea butter”.

Whilst I was invited to the event, this was not a gifted experience. I have no obligation to post anything, wasn’t given any freebies, and had the same experience as anyone else who popped into the open event. I guess that’s a testament to the event and The Body Shop that I just had to write about it.
The event itself was a drop in morning at the store on Winchester High Street. Not only were the staff on hand to tell you all about the new products and their own self-care routines, Lou from Mind Grow Soul was there to talk about manifestation and and self-care, and display some of the company’s products.
Let’s get the big stuff out of the way first. Wellness is not just a buzzword or a trend that The Body Shop has slapped on some brand new products as a way to make money, like some brands have. There’s a definitive rhyme and reason to each of their products in the range and how they interact in our self-care routines. Wellness isn’t just the name of the range either, oh no – it extends to the products themselves. The range uses 100% natural oils, are certified vegan, and all of their containers are glass or aluminium and can be recycled at their stores. We love a real sustainability moment. Now that we’ve got the realities out of the way, and we know that The Body Shop ain’t just in this for a quick penny, let me tell you about their three different routines and the associated products; Sleep, Boost, and Breathe.
The Poster Child of Wellness – Sleep
What do you think of when you think of the word ‘wellness’? I can assure you that for a lot of people, they think of rest or sleep. It’s no surprise then that Sleep is the best-selling routine of all three! With scents of lavender and vetiver, this range is aromatic, grounding and calming.
What are the products?
Bedtime Balm, Calming Pillow Mist, Relaxing Hair & Body Wash, Essential Oil Blend, Relaxing Massage Oil, and Balmy Body Cream. It also has a Rejuvenating Body Scrub-in-Oil coming out soon.

Rosie’s Top Pick?
As a terrible sleeper, this routine stuck out to me immediately – especially as some of the products have been clinically proven by the European Sleep Centre to help with sleep. I already use a pillow spray when I am trying to maximise that self-care life, but the scent of The Body Shop’s Sleep Spray just has something extra dreamy about it. Once I’ve used up my current spray, find me marching down to The Body Shop to top up.
It’s a Zinger – Boost

I’m talking ENERGISING, baby! This routine is all about energising both the mind and the body. Mandarin and bergamot are the two leading scents here, creating a zesty, zingy, and fresh routine.
What are the products?
Boost has some similar products to the Sleep Range, such as Hair & Body Wash, Body Cream, Essential Oil Blend, and a Sugar Body Polish. But, it also has some products only available in the Boost routine, such as Shine On Hair and Body Oil, Exfoliating Happy Handwash, and a Hand Cream.
Rosie’s Top Pick?
The handwash. After trying it out in the store, it’s a no brainer. For some reason, I’m someone who gets rough hands. I don’t know why, I’m an event co-ordinator by trade, not a builder! So an exfoliating hand wash is right on the money for me. When I tested it out, it left my hands feeling both clean and polished, as well as filling the air around me with that gorgeous, zesty scent.
An Anxious Person’s Dream – Breathe
Finally, my favourite range – Breathe. This range focuses on both the body and mind, using invigorating eucalyptus and earthy rosemary as key scents. It smells like Vicks Vaporub in the most luxurious, spa-like, grounding way.

What are the products?
Leading with the staple Essential Oil Blend, Breathe also has a Body Gel-Cream, Massage Melt, Calm Balm, and a Whisked Body Polish.
Rosie’s Top Pick?
I am obsessed with Calm Balm. I currently have it all over my pulse points – I’m currently at my desk feeling stressed out by life in general and it really is helping. I also have my eyes on the Massage Melt too. Like an office based gremlin, I work hunched up over a computer all day so my shoulders are always in need of TLC and massaging.
Honestly, popping into The Body Shop, talking about their products, and meeting Lou from Mind Grow Soul was such a joyous experience! It truly is a breath of fresh air to talk to brands that genuinely care about wellness and don’t use it as a cash grab. I can see how each and every product would fit into my own routine and boost my wellbeing.

If wellness or self-care is on your radar, I suggest that you run, don’t walk, to your nearest TBS store to get your hands on this range. But be warned – you may just fall in love with it. And if you want to start introducing manifesting and affirmations into your wellbeing routine? You seriously need to check out Mind Grow Soul. All of the products are based on what the creator Lou has found works for her mental health and her wellbeing. I’ve just slipped the manifestation journal into my online cart…
Tell me, what is your top tip for maintaining your wellness? For me, it’s journaling. I try to write three pages of my thoughts each morning – get them out of my brain and straight on to paper. Let me know your top tip in the comments.
